The LME is pleased to offer a free educational workshop to the plastics industry delegates at the 3rd ICIS Asian Polymers Conference to aid understanding of how to use LME futures contracts to manage price risk. This workshop will be presented by Brian Woodridge of Sempra Commodities, an LME member firm and is scheduled to take place at 14.40 - 17.30 on Day 2 of the conference.
The objective of this workshop is to explain the services that the LME is offering to the plastics industry - pricing, hedging and delivery. The LME will also explain the new regional contracts and additional prompt dates that will be introduced on 25 June. Hedging examples are provided to show how hedging with futures contracts can assist in managing price risk.
